About
In 1999, after a lifetime of not knowing why I had certain health issues that I couldn’t understand, I was diagnosed with a metabolic and endocrine disorder called PCOS, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Then in 2014, a second endocrine disorder was added to the list; hypothyroidism. My love of health and fitness has afforded me the ability to combat the side effects, but not without immense struggle and medical intervention. I believe without proper knowledge of metabolic issues and unwinding compulsive eating habits, maximum health can be a huge struggle.
While I had a successful personal training business starting in 2012, I have been working since then to find a way to couple the work of health and fitness with my personal understanding and experience with metabolic issues. I began speaking to as many health professionals as possible about the issue. I was even attempting to write my dream book, It’s Your Hormones Silly, in 2016, but the Universe had other plans for me! That same year, I launched a well-received seminar series under the same name, at the magical Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA, and in Fairfield County, CT. Simultaneously, the Universe and maybe a little luck were guiding me to the next level when I learned about the work of an Eating Psychology Coach. Only a week later, I was accepted into the program and it has not only changed my life but the lives of my clients.
Over my years as a Personal Trainer, I had every diet, shake, and supplement company asking me to promote their products. For me, it wasn’t a fit. When I began my journey as an Eating Psychology Coach, I knew I had found my life’s work. While I have never been on diets or binged, I was obsessed with the scale. It was my dirty little secret. My personal journey with weight and body image has been my micro motive; the thing that gets me up in the morning and makes me want to do more, help more. I understand deeply what you’re going through.
Almost five years later, I now have a proven track record of helping my clients shift from chronic dieting to sustained changes, even during Covid. I have developed a proprietary, 12-week program that helps my clients unwind generational, disordered eating and get on with living. Over the last year, I have added the part that I have talked about for years, hormones and metabolism. By working with your endocrinologist, or one that I can refer you to, we can help you find a new normal or get back on track.
